The two I chose were Power Centers and Walk Cycles, but I narrowed it down to the one I want to focus on, which is Walk Cycles.
Think about an ACTING-related topic that you want to do a deep dive into. Here are some the criteria.
1. It is acting related? Yes, Walk cycles are everywhere. Its rare to have a film without a character walking at some point. You can also achieve different types of emotions by acting out different walk cycles. With a high power center, you get a more confident walk. In regards to a low power center, Your walk will convey a sad or gloomy emotion.
2. How can you and your classmates learn something relevant? By taking in this knowledge I provided, you can create more believable walk cycles and walk cycles that convey the feeling you're trying to portray. If you're an animation student, walk cycles are very important for your portfolio.
3. What original content will you provide? I recently created a walk cycle for a class that has a high power center and portrays confidence just by its walk. I will show how you can apply acting to different kinds of walk cycles
4. Think of at least three topics related to Animation (Acting, character, camera, story)
Camera Angles, Facial Expressions, Power Centers.
5. Will you work alone or will you do it as a team.
I'm pretty sure this is a solo project, so I will be doing the project alone.
7. Think of it as a TED Talk presentation. How will you make it outstanding?
I will use images, gifs and videos to help support the point I am making and I will also provide useful information that listeners can take note of to help execute believable walk cycles. I will apply things we learned in class to help support the walk cycles as well.
